If there is no other deterrent to keep a person from committing a crime, I say this one would suffice - feed people prison food, and they'll hate it even more than airplane or hospital food and realize a life of crime is not for them. It's been 24 hours, and I have not yet suffered even indigestion at the fare offered on my latest prison tour and working lunch; for this I am grateful.
